Amanda Shalala is an award winning freelance sports journalist/broadcaster based in Australia.

She loves shining a light on unsung heroes, and is passionate about women's and Paralympic sport.

Amanda has worked for leading media organisations, including Fox Sports Australia, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. 

She has been leading ABC Sport's 50:50 project to advance the coverage and representation of women in sport.

She's been a reporter/presenter for Fox Sports News, anchoring daily national bulletins, hosting breaking news coverage, and producing features. 

Amanda's hosted Grandstand TV, presented and produced sports updates for ABC News Breakfast and News 24, hosted The Ladies Stand on Grandstand Digital Radio, and was a regular on Triple J's Drive with the Doctor.

Amanda has covered major national and international events including four Paralympic Games, the London Olympics, 2015 Asian Cup, FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Ashes, State of Origin series and all sports great and small.
